VOLUNTEER

We invite both internal and external interns and volunteers. Our foundation offers full support for volunteers visiting and working with us. For us it does not matter how long a volunteer wishes to stay, also a short stay can bring new ideas and improvements. Nonetheless a long stay is greatly appreciated because it brings the big advantage of long term projects.  The volunteers can choose which project they are most interested in, so either tree plantation for the water catchment program, hard waste management or training for entrepreneurship. It is important to bring along the will of learning and to be able to adjust to unknown situations.

We will host you with all efforts and ensure an accommodation either in a host family at the village or a place at town, depending on the project you choose and the best way to reach this. Additionally we take care to provide you with food and even organize trips, so that you have the chance to discover the beautiful region of Mount Kilimanjaro. This includes day trips to the tallest tree of Africa, a lake bordering Kenya or one of the numerous waterfalls. Furthermore a cultural exchange will be guaranteed as we live a truly African life and can also organize trips to the Massai. In addition Moshi is the main starting point for climbing the Mount Kilimanjaro and also the national parks Lake Manyara, Tarangire, Ngorongoro and Serengeti are accessible from here.

We welcome everybody who shares our interest and try our best to give you a good stay. Just keep in mind we are a non-profit organization so that we cannot offer any payment and your living expenses need to be covered by yourself. But do not worry; living costs are often lower than in many other countries. Instead you will be enriched with many new experiences! As the director of the organization I, Israel Kisanga, will be the main person of contact, so please connect with me for more details!
